Nature. Regardless of the weather, if I'm upset, I'll just find myself a nice tree and sit under it for a while. Our society is becoming so advanced technologically that I wonder if we're losing touch with our roots in nature. We're not as connected to it as we once were.

I had a revelation today that I'm not sure what to do with myself when I'm bored. World of Warcraft's servers are down, eliminating my primary means of entertainment. After four exams and two quizzes last week, none of my classes have given homework. So much for that stereotype of college students b...

Playing Sudoku. I have a total of 4 exams and 2 quizzes in the next two days, so I need to do something that doesn't require any thought or attention for a while.

I just finished my last final, and I got a 98% on it. :D

Spinal tap actually went really well. Only took 10 minutes, with about 45 minutes of lying flat on my stomach. Wasn't all that painful. So yay for that. Plus, my dad got me a bag of chips after it was done. :) The bag of chips was just the icing on the cake, wasn't it? :P But I'm glad to hear it we...

That's not very nice. :( What'd they consider "goth music"? Fall Out Boy? Marilyn Manson? You've described the "gothic" clique in my high school! *applauds* I kid you not. You could name band after band, and they wouldn't recognize it unless it was Marilyn Manson or played on th...

I don't really understand crying- there's no logic to it. I'd argue against that. It's a healthy, natural outlet for negative emotions. Crying may not have a vital biological purpose, but it can help relieve stressful feelings. I might be misinterpreting your opinion, though, and if I am, please fe...

Zephyr , I agree with Arq . That's just bullshit. It is, or rather, was. I took the retake as scheduled today at 6:30 am. I was done in 10 minutes and walked out with a 100%. Such a waste of time. At least the all-nighter I pulled last night was semi-productive; I got to watch all the Crayon Shin C...

Venison (made from deer) is one of my favorite foods. Just grill it for a bit and throw on some spices. The more tender the meat is, the better. But that last statement is just personal preference. I love mixing chicken with broccoli and pouring melted cheese on top of it. I'm a broccoli addict, and...

I believe, that whole barrel of monkeys would escape next year, if at all. I can't wait for 2013. It would mean that I will more than probably get to laugh at what's going to be the new Y2K ;) I can't wait for next week to be over. A mini-rant approaches... In one of my classes, the exams are taken...

I just woke up, so that's great. Now I can be a normal person who wakes up in the morning and not in the middle of the afternoon. At least until the next bout of insomnia... And ... yeah. I'm planning on going to school again, since I spent most of my teenage years taking care of my mom, and I don'...

Considering that my health is declining and my sleep is lacking, all because my neighbors have set out to make life impossible for me, I'd say I'm a scowler at the moment. I hope your situation improves shortly, Gabriel . Considering how long humankind has managed to survive on this planet, one wou...

I started getting into the subculture in middle school. There was a girl in my school's choir who introduced me to The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and the like. Even though we never became good friends, she'd always recommend me bands left and right and always treated me and my op...

Like you hear of this a lot in the UK, not like cage fighting so much, but like parents encouraging brothers/cousins to fight each other. It's pretty disgusting, and I can only think of that really when I hear of really young (like 8?!) kids fighting each other in a cage while adults look on. To me...

I'm scowling at my coffee. Trying to brew it was an adventure in and of itself, and now that I finally get to drink it, it tastes watered-down and bland.
