There are self-described Communists on this forum. Or have you struck your head and forgotten the discussions during the past week or so? They are not the same thing, and in fact one tends to despise the other, if you're going to generalize. Look, these threads lately have become really tiresome, an...

Gah, I hated clients like that when I was in IT support. I had one woman specifically who'd submit a ticket, and give a deadline that skirted outside the "rush fee" territory, then escalate through management to get it rushed anyway. Every. Single. Time. I still charged her the rush fees. ...

I doubt that it was meant that you can't be a goth if you listen to stuff other than goth music, but rather that if you don't listen to goth music at all , never do, and even don't like it, how can you possibly understand or respect the subculture? I can't think of a single person on this forum that...

There is no virtue in 'just getting along' at all if the people you're trying to get along with are a bunch of fascist/communist scumbags. They'll just see it as weakness and run roughshod all over you. Communists and Fascists are not the same thing. Listing them with a '/' in between doesn't make ...

It means someone is "posing". It means they're claiming to be something they are not. Ever see Catch Me if You Can? The lead character posed as a pilot, a surgeon and a legal prosecutor. That's a poser. It means that whatever the person is doing is a false affectation, and that they don't ...

I see. In such a case, my mind goes to this quote:

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Fay - you can't actually hotlink from Resizr. You have to dump it into photobucket or flickr. It's not hard. Honest.

ArcAngel - but what you're talking about is some kind of intolerance for animal fats. What Arquinsiel is referring to is the myth that it hangs out in your colon. Not to be explicitly gross (okay, this *is* explicitly gross), but that's not physically possible. Your colon is a pretty slippery place....

I think it's entirely possible for it to have a legitimate application. I'll even take it out of the "goth" context so it won't feel so bad to hear it: If a person buys all the right clothes, dresses themselves like a stereotypical skater kid, reads Thrasher, *calls* himself a skater and a...

Spidey & Princess - Sounds like your town needs a Mother's Cafe, a Mr. Natural or two and maybe a Casa De Luz.

Personally, I avoid Chipotle, if only because one chicken burrito is almost all the calories I need for an entire day.

May not have been the reatest example that thre it was that is how i see things. Granted, i know that peace will never happen, but i see not why people cannot try to get along better with people who are different for them. I know if more had an open and accepting mentality of other people's views, ...

Is the CEO that works his ass off 16 hours a day 6/7 days a week and never takes vacations and hardly sees his family not part of the 'working class'? Oh, ho, ho, oh that's a good one. Hahahahaha. Just how many CEOs are like that? Maybe the ones who are CEOs of small businesses? I was the own...

Yes I'm perfectly understanding that some women may want a size above average and I certainly don't knock them for admitting it. It's just that some of those who admit it are such awful demeaning people when they bring it up. And it is torture on a mans self esteem to be put down for that, y'know? ...
